  I can usually always count on Applebee's to deliver quality food at a good price and service with a smile. Unfortunately, after my most recent Applebee's experience at this location, my usual certainty for a good experience has changed. It was about 9:00pm on a Saturday and not particularly busy. We are seated quickly by a well mannered host and told that our server would be with us shortly. After waiting what seemed about 10 minutes, our server Syd arrived with no apology for the delay. She asked if we wanted to start off with a drink, I asked for a Pepsi and my date asked for a water. Before she turned around, we also told her that we were ready to place our order as well. She told us she'd be right back with the drinks. Another 5 minutes go by and Syd brings me out my side salad, (still haven't gotten the drinks). She says she'll be right back and finally brings them out. A minute later she brings out our entree and asks if I wanted any sauce for my steak; I ask for A1. She comes by at a brisk pace and hardly slows down to drop the bottle on our table and run off to the next without a word. Syd never returned to ask if everything was alright or to refill our drinks. She finally returned only to drop the check and ran off again. No apology for forgetting our drinks and no thank you for stopping by, meant I would leave a smaller tip than normal (20%). I decided to leave $2.50, but Syd must not have appreciated that, after all she'd done. I check my credit card statement the next day to find that she had charged $3.50. I can't say for sure if this was a mistake or not, but after the bad service and poor attitude, this was the tipping point. Applebee's has been great for me in the past, but I will not be returning to this location. If you happen to be dining here beware Syd. Not only with you not enjoy your experience, she will change the way you think about servers.

  Seating was quick. Service was fast. Food was excellent. The steak was a little more done than I wish. But still great flavor and tender.

  Great drink specials after 9. Friendly waitstaff. Safe, family-friendly neighborhood bar and restaurant.
